#WHOARETHEY

Expanding the dialogue around the people making serious work.

Who Are They is a series that documents people in the creative field who create space for themselves to exhibit their talents, in an industry that doesn't normally celebrate or make room for them to actively participate. The question in the series title asks who these types people are so we can learn about them, invest in them, and work with them. Who Are They came to be after consistently seeing in-depth, serious articles or features about the creative process and craft usually reserved for an exclusive group of select people. There are many people doing unique work that is quickly glossed over, nor is it taken seriously. We read a lot of surface level information, and Who Are They is a spot to break through the noise, and dig deeper into diverse creative talent.

Shot from a female gaze, this series provides a digital platform for those interested in individuals who take their work seriously through various creative fields. The goal is that this space will inspire and motivate others to to get out there and create in any medium, either solo or by collaboration. It is a place to provide a voice to those we don't normally hear from or read about, where they are portrayed in a non-manicured, serious, and authentic way.

Please feel free to send submissions for those you would like to see included in this growing project.
